Public Transport to St. Peter's Church "Old Peter"
It is really easy to get to "Old Peter" in the City Center of Munich by public transport.
To get to the "Old Peter" by public transport, it is best to go to the station "Marienplatz".
You can take any S-Bahn or subway lines U3 and U6. From here, the Old Peter is only 1 minute walk away.
The "Old Peter" - St. Peters Church Munich
Sankt Peter, the Peterskirche is the oldest church in Munich and close to Marienplatz.
The history of the church goes back to the 12th century. The Munich citizen call the church tower, "Old Peter".
St. Peters Church - Vantage Point
If you go up 306 steps, you'll reach one of the best vantage points for great photos and videos.
The tower also houses the oldest bells and clocks in Munich.
Opening hours:
Mo. - Fr. 9am to 6.30pm
Sa. - So. 10am to 6.30pm
By the way, there is no lift here!
Inside St. Peter's Church
The church is beautifully decorated inside and has a very special atmosphere.
The restoration work of the church was completed in 2000.

The "sacred Munditia"
She is the patron saint of single women. Her skeleton is decorated with gold in a glass coffin.
The cannonball in St. Peters Church
If you look closely, you will see a real cannonball on the outer wall, next to one of the church windows.
This flew in 1795 during a battle in the church and was walled in as a memorial.
